This photo taken December 2005.  The temperature was -10 F. After drilling several holes with the Jiffy Stealth 8" auger, the cover engaged and closed fully despite a significant build up of ice and snow.  Cold Snap was engineered  to work with or without ice build up, and in extreme cold conditions!
